The Kentucky Wildcats returned to action tonight as they welcomed the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles to Rupp Arena. In what started out as a close game, the Cats really pulled away as they dominated the Golden Eagles,
104-54.
Heading into the Holiday weekend, this game had all the feels of the Cats sleepwalking through the first 10 minutes as Tennessee Tech hung right with UK. Even holding the lead for a longer period of time, all of BBN had the same question: What is going on? Then insert Collin Chandler and Trent Noah. The sophomore duo helped finally get the Cats rolling, as they headed into the half up 43-28.
Luckily, that same momentum carried on through the second half. With Otega Oweh and Denzel Aberdeen getting rolling, Kentucky was able to pull away easily to put this game away early and win 104-54.
Now all eyes turn to next Tuesday night as the Cats welcome North Carolina to Lexington for this year’s SEC/ACC Challenge. Can UK get that first big win of the season? Let’s hope so.
Happy Thanksgiving, BBN! Let’s celebrate this win!

Game MVP
Several players could take this home tonight, but it is the play of Collin Chandler that really helped propel the Cats tonight. He finished with 14 points on 6-11 shooting and 2-6 from deep. He also added five rebounds and five assists.
When the team started off incredibly slow tonight, it was the play of Chandler that helped get them rolling. He struggled early with the ball in his hands more, but now you can finally start to see his playmaking ability shine. Pair that with his shooting, and at the moment, you could make a strong argument that Chandler is the best player on the floor for Kentucky at the moment.
If that continues, it will be a very fun season.
