Barcelona boss Hansi Flick looks set to lose one of his favorites as Dani Rodriguez is expected to complete a transfer away from the club shortly.
Diario Sport report that Rodriguez will go on a permanent move but Barcelona will hold a buy-back option on their talented young star.
Valencia and Rayo Vallecano have been linked with loan moves for Rodriguez, but it seems that Celta Vigo is a more likely destination as they are willing to buy.
The youngster has decided to move on after Barcelona Atletic’s
relegation last season, as he does not want to play fourth division football in the coming campaign.
Hansi Flick handed Rodriguez his debut last season, and made it clear how much he admired the youngster, but he was hit with a hefty setback when he suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Barcelona have since brought in Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardhji in the summer transfer window, in another blow to Rodriguez’s first-team hopes, and it looks now as though he is set to wave goodbye.
