Indiana men’s basketball has entered desperation mode in the middle of a four game losing streak. Women’s basketball, on the other hand, went on a late run to lock up a Big Ten Tournament berth with a late season winning streak.
The men’s program is looking to snap an NCAA Tournament
drought in its first year under head coach Darian DeVries while the women’s program will likely miss the tournament barring a run through the conference tournament. If Indiana ultimately misses the tournament, it’d be the first March Madness without the Hoosiers since 2018, not counting the cancelled 2020 tournament.
DeVries’ Hoosiers will look for a late surge with two games left in the regular season and the looming Big Ten Tournament. Moren’s Hoosiers fought to get to the conference tournament and will have to keep fighting to remain in NCAA contention.
Who will the men’s team need to break out to reach March Madness? How do you feel about the women’s team’s late surge after a disappointing start to conference play? Share your thoughts below:
