For the vast majority of the time, hot takes are really bad. Sometimes, however, they can be fun and harmless, especially when it involves something you believe about your favorite team. Alternate universes, unpopular opions, all of that. Everyone has a hot take.
Here’s mine: had Neymar never left Barça in 2017, he would have won at least one Ballon d’Or, even as Messi’s teammate. Neymar was the missing piece in Ernesto Valverde’s teams, and he actually reached his peak as a footballer during his first
three seasons at PSG. If he showed that level at Barça we would have won at least one more UCL and Neymar would be recognized as the best player in the world for a single season, something he craved so much at the time he left Barça.
