Besides a veteran rest day for defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, no new names were added or removed from the Steelers’ injury report from Wednesday to Thursday.
However, Thursday’s report included meaningful updates for several players.
After being limited on Wednesday with a conditioning/non-injury related designation, cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is now also limited due to a back issue according to Thursday’s report. Steelers beat writers reported Porter leaving practice with medical staff earlier
in the day.
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who was limited with a foot injury on Wednesday, did not participate on Thursday with the same injury designation.
Tight end Darnell Washington missed another practice due to personal preseason, but in some good news for Steelers fans, starting left tackle Troy Fautanu progressed from no participation Wednesday to limited participation on Thursday.
The Patriots injury report for Thursday had no updates from Wednesday outside of linebacker Robert Spillane upgrading from limited to full participation.
Game statuses (questionable, out, doubtful) will be announced Friday.
