The Los Angeles Rams have acquired corner Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs, per reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero
.Pelissero notes the following picks are headed to Kansas City in exchange for the All-Pro corner:
- 1st round – 29th overall
- 5th round
- 6th round
- 2027 – third round
The acquisition cannot be made official until the new league year on March 11th at 4:00 eastern time.
This is effectively LA’s first step in revamping their cornerback room following the position group’s struggles over the 2025 season. Only Emmanuel
Forbes, Darious Williams, and Josh Wallace remain under contract. Williams is a likely cut candidate. Wallace is a slot player. Forbes has struggled and the Rams must make a decision this offseason whether they will accept or decline his fifth-year option as a former first round pick.
In other words, this is only the first ball to drop in terms of the changes in store at corner.
