The Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up their second Pro Day under head coach Mark Pope on Tuesday evening, drawing attention from across the NBA.
Scouts from all 30 teams were in attendance at Memorial Coliseum to evaluate the Wildcats’ highly anticipated 2025-26 roster — and it’s safe to say more than a few heads were turned.
One NBA scout offered high praise that should instill complete confidence in Big Blue Nation.
“I expect them to be one of the best teams in the country, because they have as much depth
as any team we’re going to see this season. I call them Noah’s Ark because they have two of everything. I have nine Wildcats on my NBA draft radar. I think that’s the most I’m going to see out of any team this year,” the scout told KSR’s Jack Pilgrim.
That will certainly raise the excitement level of the BBN as the new college basketball season arrives very soon, starting with Saturday’s Big Blue Madness event. This is also a far cry from this time last year when we weren’t sure Kentucky had any legitimate NBA prospects outside of Jaxson Robinson.
With elite talent and depth across the board, Coach Pope’s squad appears poised for a breakout season.
The Wildcats will next showcase their roster this weekend at Big Blue Madness, offering BBN a formal introduction to this year’s team. Fans can expect an exciting evening as players showcase their skills and offer a glimpse of what could be a special season in Lexington.
Also, if you’re looking to grab an official Kentucky basketball team post, you’re in luck. They’ll be going out for distribution starting this weekend.
