Juventus went to Sardinia riding high after two very good wins over provincial clubs to extend a nice run of form
Then returned home to Turin with a whole lot of frustration attached to them.
That is what happens when you don’t play well and lose 1-0 to a team that is sitting just outside the relegation zone. And you do it in the kind of fashion in which Juventus did so — which involved a lot of possession but not an overwhelming amount of quality scoring chances that left them certainly wanting more.
With all of the other results that went against Juventus this past weekend, it was not a good Matchday 21 for Luciano Spalletti’s men, who now trail league leaders Inter Milan by 10 points and are down in fifth place following Roma’s win over Torino.
Just a rough weekend all the way around no matter how you want to try and spin it.
