Last week, we got excited about a loaded card WWE was bringing to Youngstown, Ohio for a non-televised live event (aka a house show).
That show was last night (Oct. 29), and based on what’s been shared from it on social media, it didn’t disappoint.
We already told you about Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley’s Dodgeball costumes, but we didn’t tell you Women’s Tag champs B-Fab and Michin, along with Jade Cargill, wore Child’s Play-inspired gear.
We also didn’t tell you that the Average Joes took Patches’ coaching into the ring with them against Fab…
… that amazing sequence didn’t get them the win however, because when Bliss went to put B away with a Sister Abigail, Cargill showed up to kick Lexi in the face and ensure her Baddies remained belted.
It wasn’t the only Spooky SZN shenanigans on the night. Before her tag match with Tiffany Stratton against Nia Jax & Lash Legend, we also got Women’s champ Chelsea Green mocking Nikki Bella before deciding her own entrance was better…
And Danhausen beating Kit Wilson by slamming him onto some hay and then smashing a pumpkin over his head…
Thursday night’s show also gave us an interesting look at audience reactions to three of the guys in the WWE title scene, at least in the Rust Belt…
Sami Zayn should have lost the belt, but the referee was out cold when Cody Rhodes pinned him after a Cross Rhodes. Zayn would eventually retain by pinning Kevin Owens after Rhodes had hit his finisher on KO several times, and after Sami closking Cody with the belt right before the ref recovered.
That was the main event of the show, but the main event for us was CM Punk vs. Chad Gable in a first-time ever “Special Attraction” match between the Raw and SmackDown stars. It seemed to live up to the hype…
And gave one of this year’s breakout star’s a big win, even for a house show:
You can enjoy the experience of seeing if from the second tier thanks to this Gable fan account:
Here are the full results from Youngstown last night:
• WWE United States Championship Match: Trick Williams (c) def. Damian Priest
• Chelsea Green & Tiffany Stratton def. The Irresistible Forces
• Gunther def. Finn Bálor
• WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Michin & B-Fab def. Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley
• Oba Femi, L.A. Knight & Solo Sikoa def. Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker & Austin Theory
• Trick or Treat Street Fight: Danhausen def. Kit Wilson
• Chad Gable def. CM Punk
• Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Sami Zayn def. Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens
As you may have noticed in many of the above clips, it does look like WWE had someone on hand to film the show, so we’d expect it as a Club WWE exclusive soon.
Excited to maybe see this show someday? Think Gable’s big win leads him to bigger things on fully canon shows?
