Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is putting together a pretty loaded card.
MMAmania.com confirmed with multiple sources today that former Bellator Welterweight champion Jason Jackson will take on longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator veteran Lorenz Larkin at MVP MMA 1.
The event is scheduled for Sat., May 16, 2026, inside the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will stream exclusively on Netflix.
Jackson (19-6) is coming off a razor-close split decision loss to Thad Jean in the semifinals
of the 2025 Professional Fighters League (PFL) World Tournament. Prior to that setback, “The Ass-Kicking Machine” submitted former Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov in the opening round (watch highlights).
Jackson made headlines in 2023 when he shocked the MMA world by knocking out the previously undefeated Yaroslav Amosov to capture the Bellator Welterweight title at Bellator 301 (watch highlights). He followed that up with a dominant win over former PFL champion Ray Cooper III before eventually losing the belt to Ramazan Kuramagomedov.
As for Larkin (27-8), the veteran finisher hasn’t competed in MMA since 2024. He stayed active last year with two bouts in Karate Combat — though he was knocked out in his most recent appearance.
Before that hiatus, however, “Monsoon” was on a tear. From 2022 to 2024, Larkin went on a violent run across Bellator (and one appearance in PFL), earning four first-round knockout victories — including a devastating finish of Mukhamed Berkhamov at Bellator 290 that landed on multiple Knockout of the Year lists (watch highlights).
The 39-year-old veteran owns 15 career knockout wins and remains one of the most dangerous strikers outside the UFC.
With Jackson’s well-rounded skill set and Larkin’s explosive striking, this Welterweight matchup adds another fun layer to an already intriguing card.
