Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/41-27)
WORCESTER 6, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)
The great, even legendary, Joander Suarez got knocked around a bit, allowing four runs in two innings of work. Worcester scored two more in the third off of Luis Moreno to give themselves a 6-0 lead in the third. Jared Young hit a two-run homer to break up the shutout and put Syracuse on the board in the bottom of the fifth and Jett Williams hit a two-run shot of his own to put the Mets back within striking distance, but they sadly couldn’t complete the rally.

BINGHAMTON
1, PORTLAND 0 (BOX)
For six innings, this one stayed knotted up at 0-0 with both teams getting guys on base but failing to capitalize thanks to a glaring lack of extra base hits. Finally, in the bottom of the seventh, Jacob Reimer and Chris Suero strung together a back-to-back single-walk combo. A fly ball moved both up a base and a wild pitch scored Reimer. That was all she wrote.
