Each practice day of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. In the NFL’s Week 1, the Chiefs will host the Denver Broncos for “Monday Night Football” at Arrowhead Stadium.
Here is the Chiefs’ final official injury report of the week, courtesy of the team’s official website:
Chiefs
The following players did not practice on Thursday, Friday or Saturday and have been ruled out:
- Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back)
- Defensive back Chamarri Conner (Knee)
Defensive tackle Chris Jones (Calf) did not participate in Saturday’s practice
after a limited practice on Friday, but will be good to go with no game status. Head coach Andy Reid said keeping Jones out of practice was “precautionary.”
Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was a limited participant in practice on Saturday after full participation on Thursday and Friday. He has no listed status ahead of the game.
The following players were full participants in Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s practice, entering Monday evening without a listed status:
- Linebacker Jack Cochrane (Knee)
- Defensive end Ashton Gillotte (Foot)
- Wide receiver Rashee Rice (Knee)
- Right guard Trey Smith (Hip)
- Defensive end R Mason Thomas (Hamstring)
- Wide receiver Xavier Worthy (Shoulder)
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (Knee)
Broncos
Wide receiver Marvin Mims (Foot) was the only player to appear on Denver’s injury report Thursday or Friday; he was a full participant in both practices.
