The Khosla Family made their formal introductory press conference in Seattle ahead of the Seattle Seahawks’ 2026 season opener against the New England Patriots. For the Super Bowl champions’ newest owners, it was very much as “get to know you” presser, whether it’s Vinod Khosla, his wife Neeru, or their son Neal. And one way to endear yourself to a fanbase is to give them something they’ll love, and it’s more throwbacks!
Neal was asked by KJR’s Dave ‘Softy’ Mahler about whether or not we’d see the Seahawks,
who already revived their vintage home throwback uniforms in 2023, also bring back the white away throwbacks any time soon. The answer?
“We will bring back the white throwback jerseys for 2027.”
Short, sweet, and to the point. And it’s not bluster, because the team wasted no time running with Neal’s statement.
We won’t see the white throwbacks this year since, well, the season is starting in a few hours and it’s too late to add to the alternate uniform collection. Seattle will, however, wear its home throwbacks three times in 2026: Week 6 at the Denver Broncos, Week 7 at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, and Week 13 at home versus the Dallas Cowboys.
This will complete Seattle’s throwback set, and who knows? Maybe the logical endpoint is to turn the throwbacks into the permanent uniforms, if not a modified version to replace Seattle’s existing threads as the go-to for fans.
Maybe a good time to unveil the white throwbacks is Week 1 of next season while unveiling another Super Bowl banner?
