Darby Allin’s style of wrestling has many wondering how long his career will last. Unfortunately, he recently suffered an injury that sent him to the hospital. AEW then pulled him from the Continental Classic tournament. Good news is that Allin says he feels amazing right now.
The issue in question is rumored to be a head injury, as speculated by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Allin shared an update about his health in an interview with 680 The Fan in Atlanta. He was asked about the
injury and knowing when it is time to retire. Allin replied:
“So, right now, I feel amazing. Honestly, it all depends on how much I still love it. It’s like I don’t want to be the guy who’s in wrestling because I have to. I want to do it because I want to. And that’s the thing. As long as I love it and as long as I like going out there and what I do, I will do it. Because honestly, no one knows what I do for my physical recovery regimen. I take care of myself so much. I feel a million bucks right now, and I’m not lying. But I’m just not medically cleared. They’re just saving me from me, which is fine, which is good. So like, but at the end of the day, I feel amazing right now.”
Allin also shed some light on his recovery routine. He spends three hours every day on activities such as DDPY, cold baths, and breath work.
