In the final round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints took their second defensive back of the class when they selected CB TJ Hall with the 219th overall pick. Hall was one of three draft picks the Saints spent on a defensive player this year.
Here are just a few facts to help you get to know one of the newest members of the New Orleans Saints:
Born Terrence Javaughn Hall, TJ boasted a highly successful
prep career as a multi-sport athlete at San-Joaquin Memorial in Fresno, CA. Not only did Hall letter as a four-year member of the football team, but he also was a two-year letterman in basketball as well. Hall saw the gridiron as both a defensive back and wide receiver, but also took snaps as the quarterback and kick/punt returner. As a senior, he finished with nearly 30 tackles, three interceptions, and a forced fumble defensively, while adding over 800 yards on 48 receptions and ten touchdowns on the offensive side.
Following high school, Hall committed to the University of Iowa where he would be a four-year player for the Hawkeyes. He finished his collegiate career with 75 total tackles (over half of them in just his senior year), 12 pass deflections, and two INTs. After a standout performance in 2025, Hall was named to the All-Big Ten third team.
Terrence Hall, TJ’s father, was an impact WR at the University of Western Illinois, an FCS program. TJ is the oldest of four children between Terrence and his wife, Monique. Hall has stated that he is appreciative of the love and support his entire family has shown him throughout his entire football career thus far.
