The Cowboys are gearing up for their latest game, a road trip to Carolina to face the Panthers, who have not lost at home yet this season. Now, with just over an hour until kickoff, we know who will and won’t be suiting up for today’s action.
The biggest news from the inactive list is who’s not on it: Tyler Guyton and Tyler Smith. The left tackle and left guard both missed last week with injuries, though Smith was technically active. The Cowboys
managed to play well without them, but they’re surely happy to have the two Tyler’s back on the left side of the line.
Making the inactive list with known injuries are CeeDee Lamb, Tyler Booker, KaVontae Turpin, and Jack Sanborn. All three were ruled out earlier in the week, and this will mark Sanborn’s first missed game of the year after leaving early last week with a concussion. Joining them on the inactive list are Ajani Cornelius and Mazi Smith, the latter of whom finds himself back on the inactive list after having been a healthy scratch for the first couple of games this season.
As for the Panthers, they’ll be without starting running back Chuba Hubbard for the second straight week. That means former Cowboy Rico Dowdle, who put up over 200 yards last week, will get the start. Carolina will also be without tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders, cornerback Akayleb Evans, and right tackle Taylor Moton.
