What is the story about?
After a rollercoaster of a ballgame yesterday, the Phillies lived to fight another day, forcing this series with the Braves to a decisive Game 3. Not enough can be said about the performance of 23-year-old Andrew Painter who threw three scoreless innings in relief to win the game. That’s the kind of stuff that makes everyone forget his early season struggles and can grant a young rookie a boatload of confidence. No matter what happens today, Painter answered the call when the team needed him most.
