The Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Volunteers have released their first injury report ahead of Saturday’s matchup in Knoxville.
For Kentucky, one of the big storylines this week is running back CJ Baxter, who has been in and out of the lineup in recent weeks due to various injuries but is expected to play. Baxter is not on the injury report, signaling he’s ready to go in Knoxville.
Another big one to watch for is star edge rusher Sam Greene, who missed the Vanderbilt game. Greene is currently listed
as probable, so it looks like he has a good shot at playing Saturday.
Wide receiver Nic Anderson, who also missed the Vandy game, is not on the injury report, so he should be good to go.
Cornerback Isaiah McMillian, who left the Vanderbilt game due to injury, is listed as questionable to play this week.
Finally, linebacker Antwan Smith, cornerback Jaden Smith, linebacker Justyn Hartley, and cornerback Grant Grayton have been ruled out.
For Tennessee, the big storyline is DeSean Bishop, one of the best running backs in America and a focal point of this offense. Bishop got dinged up in the loss to South Carolina but is expected to play this week. He is not on the injury report and is good to go Saturday.
Tight end Ethan Davis, left guard Wendell Moe, safety Edrees Farooq, safety Dylan Lewis, wide receiver/kick returner Joakim Dodson, linebacker Jaedon Harmon, and cornerback Jadais Richard all remain out after suffering season-ending injuries.
Otherwise, there are no new injuries to report for the Vols.
