Rutgers basketball guard Harun Zrno has opted to enter the transfer portal, according to Richie O’Leary of The Knight Report. He becomes the third Scarlet Knight to enter the portal this season, following guard Dorian Jones and forward Bryce Dortch. He will leave Rutgers with three years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound freshman guard spent just one year at Rutgers before deciding to move on. In that year, he averaged 6.6 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game while appearing
in 34 games and making 15 starts. He was one of the more consistent three point shooters on the team, largely thanks to his ability to put up a quick shot with decent form. Last season, he hit 34 percent of his shots from beyond the arc and 35.8 percent of his total shots from the field, while playing an average of 19.1 minutes per game.
Zrno was originally recruited out of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of the 2025 recruiting class. He originally committed to Indiana, but after Mike Woodson was fired, he decided to reopen his recruitment, ultimately landing at Rutgers.
He will now finish the rest of his college days elsewhere.
