Well, here we are.
A new season is upon us when Illinois takes on Jackson State on Monday night at State Farm Center.
And according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein — our favorite guy, of course
— Illinois will be without at least two players for the game.
Rothstein reported Saturday that Mihailo Petrovic is still out with a hamstring injury, while Ty Rodgers is dealing with an offseason knee injury. There’s no firm timeline that Brad Underwood has mentioned on Rodgers’ injury, but it seems like Petrovic is almost back.
He also reported that Andrej Stojakovic is a game-time decision, but the Illini may play it safe and just give him a few more days it appears.
Tomislav Ivisic, who missed the ISU exhibition after having his tonsils removed, will play, Rothstein reported.
Are you ready?
