The NFL released its entire list of players set to participate in the yearly NFL Combine. Of the 319 draft prospects set to invade Indianapolis later this month, eight of them are former Michigan Wolverines.
Positions below are what the NFL listed them as
- RB Max Bredeson
- WR Donaven McCulley
- TE Marlin Klein
- DL Rayshaun Benny
- DL Jaishawn Barham
- DL Derrick Moore
- LB Jimmy Rolder
- K Dominic Zvada
First off, it’s good to see that Bredeson is healthy enough to be able to go to the event and give it a go. He missed the last two games of the season due to a foot injury he sustained at Maryland the week prior to Ohio State. Rolder also missed some
time late in the year due to an injury, but he is also good to go for the NFL Combine.
Meanwhile, there are a few notable omissions this year, as offensive linemen Giovanni El-Hadi and Greg Crippen, edge rusher TJ Guy, and interior defensive linemen Tre Williams and Damon Payne Jr. were all not on the list of invited players. All five of these guys are not viewed as high-end draft prospects and sure could have used the extra attention at the Combine. Hopefully they can make a name for themself during Michigan’s Pro Day, which is usually held sometime in mid-March.
The NFL Combine runs from Feb. 23 through March 2, with TV coverage beginning on Feb. 26 on NFL Network.
