This week’s (Aug. 31) episode of WWE Raw on Netflix wasn’t live, because it was taped last Friday night. The taped episode that aired Monday night was then censored by Netflix, with Jey Uso’s bloody face being pixelated during Royce Keys’ ambush in the opening segment. Jacob Fatu’s mouth was also pixelated (and the audio bleeped) a few minutes later when he said the word “motherfuckers” while cutting a promo at ringside.

As you might have guessed, it sounds like WWE is frustrated by Netflix censoring their content to this degree. A new report from WrestleVotes Radio says people who work in WWE’s post-production department feel ‘handcuffed’ by Netflix’s restrictions. WWE apparently didn’t expect Netflix’s censoring to be this intrusive when Raw moved over to the streaming giant at the start of 2025.
Triple H thankfully did upload the unedited version of Royce’s attack on the Usos’ on social media. Votes’ report says the decision to do that was “unanimous” within WWE, as they felt it was important to the angle for fans to see how it was originally meant to air.
