Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Let’s start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Thursday, June 11, 2026.
- Pic: Alex Pereira’s UFC Freedom 250 side-by-side Heavyweight transformation has Ciryl Gane fans not scared (at all): Pereira looks about as good as could be reasonable expected given that he fought at 205-pounds less than a year ago.
- Alex Pereira suggests ‘disrespectful’ Josh Hokit will be cut after UFC White House antics: Unless Hokit starts interrupting Dana’s blackjack games like Colby did back in the day, I would wager his roster position is very safe.
- New York Times slams Conor McGregor for using PEDs to treat broken leg: I can see both sides of this argument, but it’s hard for me to view McGregor as a clean fighter given all the rumors, missed locations, and dramatic physical shifts.
Insomnia
Georges St. Pierre will class up Sunday’s event to a significant degree.
Derrick Lewis is well-prepared for all the potential challenges of the UFC White House experience.
Maybe we do live in a simulation after all.
Edson Barboza is allergic to taking easy fights. I just wish this were the Barboza of 2017 or so …
You never know what you’re going to see on the regional scene.
Merab Dvalishvili rides in style.
Bas Rutten explains how to land the perfect clinch uppercut:
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Absolutely no defense even attempted to this arm-in guillotine choke:
I am strongly reminded of Mark Hunt’s armbar attempt on Ben Rothwell in perhaps the tiredest UFC fight of all time.
He gave his opponent fair warning …
