For a team that is already plagued with a dearth of wings, losing one to injury gives coach Steve Kerr something to think about in terms of lineups.
Per Kerr, Gui Santos, who rolled his ankle against the
New York Knicks last night, is considered out for tomorrow’s contest against the Charlotte Hornets.

His ankle sprain isn't considered bad and an update will come in the next few days. But Gui will miss at least one game and likely more. Kerr emphasizes how important Gui has been and what a big loss it is
Per Kerr, Santos’ sprain isn’t considered bad or serious, but it is enough of an impediment for Santos to sit out and rest.
Santos’ box-score numbers aren’t special (3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist), but his hustle and tenacity has gotten him rotation minutes from Kerr — enough for him to surpass the controversial Jonathan Kuminga in the pecking order. Per Databallr, the Warriors have outscored opponents by 8.7 points per 100 possessions in the 293 non-low-leverage minutes Santos has played this season, with a defensive rating that improves by nearly 7 points per 100 possessions with Santos on the floor.
