Barcelona manager Hansi Flick provided a very positive update at a press conference on Friday as he confirmed that forward Raphinha is fully recovered from his injury and will be in the squad for Saturday’s La Liga clash with Osasuna.
Raphinha has missed the last month with a hamstring injury sustained while in Brazil duty in March, and his plan was always to come back in time for the potentially title-clinching El Clasico against Real Madrid, and the Brazilian could get a chance to earn some minutes
against Osasuna to regain some rhythm before the biggest game of the season next week.
Flick also provided an update on Lamine Yamal, who won’t return for the final games of Barça’s season but is on track to recover from his hamstring injury in time for the World Cup in June.
“Injuries are things that happen. Rafa always gives 100%. It’s his mentality, his attitude. He helps us a lot, but this season he has suffered. It’s important to have him back. He will travel and we will see what happens. He is the captain. Maybe it gives us what we need.
“We are in contact [with Yamal]. He’s doing well, the evolution is good. I think we’ll see him at the World Cup. He has time to recover and return. It’s what he wants.”
Good news all around.
