Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats are starting to heat up on the recruiting side of things.
Although Pope has not landed a commitment for the 2026 class, that could end soon. The Wildcats received a couple of updates on Monday with a 2027 top-10 guard and a 2026 4-star center.
Ethan Taylor, a 4-star center from Branson, Missouri, has informed Kentucky that he has canceled his upcoming visit to Lexington, he told Jacob Polacheck of KSR.
“I am no longer visiting Kentucky,” Taylor said.
The 7-foot center
released his top six schools on August 9th, in which the Wildcats were included. Taylor will choose between Michigan State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Indiana. He is the 24th-ranked recruit in the nation, according to 247 Sports.
The Wildcats received some good news on the recruiting trail on Monday afternoon with 2027 forward Lincoln Cosby.
Cosby, who is ranked as the 7th-best recruit in the nation by 247 Sports, has scheduled an official visit to Lexington. Rivals’ Joe Tipton broke the news.
The Montverde Academy player will be in Lexington on October 24th. Cosby has not yet announced his scholarship offer from the Wildcats, but could be looking to do that soon.
The Wildcats will look to pick up their first commitment of the 2026 class here soon as the recruiting trail heats up while also laying the groundwork for 2027.
