Greg Hardy continues to be one of combat sports’ biggest embarrassments.
The former UFC fighter and NFL player is scheduled to face four-fight UFC veteran Darko Stosic this Saturday at a Fight Nation Championship event in Belgrade, Serbia, on Saturday. At today’s official weigh-ins for FNC 31, Hardy didn’t come close to making weight, registering at 132 kg or approximately 291 pounds. That’s 25 pounds over the limit for a non-title heavyweight fight, according to Fight Site’s Igor Feješ.

Feješ reported that Stosic is accepting the fight despite Hardy’s egregious weight miss.
This is just the latest stumble for Hardy, who transitioned to a career in combat sports after a disgraceful exit from the NFL. The one-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman was suspended by the league in 2015 after being arrested for assaulting an ex-girlfriend and was later found guilty of assault and communicating threats. Hardy successfully appealed the verdict and charges were dropped when the alleged victim did not appear to testify in court.
At the conclusion of the 2015 NFL season, Hardy was not re-signed by the Dallas Cowboys, and he later committed to fighting. He eventually signed with the UFC in 2019 and went on to go 4-5 along with a bizarre no-contest that saw a unanimous decision win for Hardy get overturned due to him using an inhaler between rounds. Since parting ways with the UFC in 2022, Hardy has competed in boxing and bare-knuckle boxing with mixed results, and recently made a successful return to the MMA world with a win over Phillip Latu in January.
