With Saturday games upon us, that means the 2025 NFL regular season is quickly drawing to a close. There are just a few weeks left for teams to make a play for the postseason, and today’s slate brings plenty of NFC drama to your weekend plans.
First up at 5 p.m. EST, it’s the Philadelphia Eagles against the Washington Commanders in an NFC East battle. Even though they’re 9-5 and fairly comfortably leading their division, the reigning Super Bowl Champion Eagles have looked anything other than championship
material too often this season. Perhaps lucky for them, Philly faces a 4-10 Commanders team that fell apart in 2025 — and which now finishes the season without quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Your Saturday nightcap at 8:20 p.m. EST features a great matchup between the 10-4 Chicago Bears and the 9-4-1 Green Bay Packers. The Bears have been a pleasant surprise this season, and they’re currently holding onto the two seed in the NFC playoff picture. The Packers are up against it, now without all-star edge rusher Micah Parsons for the rest of the season after he suffered an ACL injury in Week 15.
In terms of rooting interests as it relates to the Buffalo Bills’ playoff picture, there’s just the Eagles who with a win would improve Buffalo’s Strength of Schedule score if needed for tie-breaker scenarios. Bills Mafia loves an underdog, story, right? Well, even though they’re hardly an underdog this season, there’s plenty of reason to cheer on the Bears as a team that has had little success and less quarterback luck since winning the Super Bowl at the end of the 1985 season.
With that, here’s your open thread for all of Saturday’s action in the NFL. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
