When will Cleveland Browns fans get to accurately expect their team to be good at all times? Given the results of the first preseason game, starting against the Chicago Bears and following up with the Buffalo Bills, the answer is “not yet.” HC Todd Monken was pleased with how the team looked in the one joint practice against the Bills and was flummoxed by their performance in the actual preseason game.
Following Thursday’s joint practice, most Cleveland fans were not moved like the head coach was.
By and large, fans were disappointed in the performance in the first preseason action but, somewhat to our surprise, not as much after the second preseason game:
A sad place to be for Browns fans who saw their team get trounced by the Bills, and it really didn’t impact their opinion of Monken’s squad. It is also notable that mostly positive reporting coming out of the joint practice did nothing to encourage the fanbase either.
Given the uncertainty and concern at the quarterback position, all of that seems justified, but also sad for a great, great group of supporters.
Do you agree with the above polls? Is it hard for you right now to have hope for the Browns?
