Spain boss Luis de la Fuente was a little coy when asked if Lamine Yamal will start again for Spain
against Czechia in the Nations League on Saturday.Yamal has started both of La Roja’s matches so far during the international break, scoring three times and bagging an assist.
De la Fuente was asked if Yamal would again be in his starting XI but wasn’t revealing too much ahead of the match.
“We’ll field the most suitable team for tomorrow’s match. We have it in mind, but we’ll make the final adjustments
tonight,” he told a pre-match press conference.
“He’s important at any point in the game. From the start, or from the 60th or 45th minute. It doesn’t cost him any more or less to leave him out. When we play him, it’s because he’s effective for the team.
“It’s a pleasure to watch him; he’s more mature every day. He understands all situations, even those outside of the game. That’s fantastic news.”
Saturday’s match is the third of four fixtures for Spain before La Liga resumes next weekend. The final match is on Tuesday night in Croatia.
