The Indianapolis Colts (1-2) take on the Washington Commanders (1-2) in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 9:30 AM EDT for those who didn’t make the trip to ‘The Big Smoke.’
For those looking to watch, it can be viewed on NFL Network nationally, with Dave Pasch (play-by-play), Kurt Warner (analyst), and Jason Kelce (analyst). Streamers can watch on YouTubeTV and NFL+, etc.
The NFL Week 4 TV map can be found here.
Regarding the Colts fans tuning in, it will be aired on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan / 97.1
Hank FM, featuring Matt Taylor (play-by-play), Charles Arbuckle (analyst), and Larra Overton (sideline) on the call as usual. For those Sirius XM subscribers, the Horseshoe Faithful can listen in on Channel 813.
The Colts come in after arguably a season-saving win, where placekicker Spencer Shrader nailed a 53-yard game-winning field goal attempt with just 16 seconds left to avoid an 0-3 start. The Colts currently rank 15th in points scored (24.0 avg. ppg), while surrendering the 29th most points at 30.3 avg. ppg), with a slight improvement in their defensive ranking from being previously ranked 32nd following Week 2.
The Colts are very banged up at wideout with Alec Pierce (heel) already on injured reserve and veteran wideout Keenan Allen (groin) also declared out for this one, as well as fellow wide receiver Ashton Dulin’s status (ankle) still questionable for Sunday regarding his immediate availability. The Colts elevated wideout Nick Westbr00k-Ikhine from their practice squad for additional depth at the wide receiver position for Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Commanders will see veteran backup Marcus Mariota make a consecutive start in relief of starter Jayden Daniels (elbow). The veteran backup actually surprisingly played pretty well last weekend against the Seattle Seahawks defense and will be looking to keep that magic going against the Colts. He could be without top Commanders wideout Terry McLaurin (hamstring), a former local Cathedral High School standout, who’s officially designated as “questionable” headed in.
The Commanders rank 13th in points for offensively (25.0 avg. ppg.) and 31st in points surrendered (30.7 avg. ppg.), so Indianapolis actually plays an opposing defense early on that’s fared worse than their own to-date.
The officiating unit will be lead official Alan Eck and his officiating crew.
Regarding London’s projected weather, it’s expected to be warm, bright, and dry with pleasant temperatures around 68 to 70 degrees, which is a bit different than some of the Colts prior games in Europe, where weather conditions have always seemed to be foggy or rainy regarding my memory.
The Colts lead the all-time series 21-13-0, with the Commanders winning the last time these two teams met, 17-16, at Lucas Oil Stadium on October 30, 2022, in a much anticipated battle between backup quarterbacks Sam Ehlinger and Taylor Heinicke.
