Coming off a momentum altering victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in which the Seattle Seahawks’ ‘Dark Side’ defense allowed just three points, they’ll be missing a burst as star linebacker Uchenna Nwosu will be sidelined against the Chicago Bears tonight.
Seahawks Week 8 inactives
- LB Uchenna Nwosu (ankle)
- OT Charles Cross (ankle)
- WR Rashid Shaheed (knee)
- QB Drew Lock (right elbow, Emergency QB3)
- RB Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring)
- NT Brandon Pili (back)
- OG Beau Stephens
OG Anthony Bradford (knee), LB Patrick O’Connell (toe) and LB Connor O’Toole (hamstring)—who were all listed as questionable, will play/are available to play.
Despite Nwosu being ruled out, linebackers Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt are set to return
after multi-game absences, while O’Connell as well as O’Toole should provide depth, leaving a loaded position room even without one of their best.
As for the Bears, they’ll be without running back Kyle Monangai (toe, thumb) for the third consecutive game, subsequently putting Roschon Johnson in line for more work.
S Malik Muhammad (toe), who practice in a limited capacity all week and was deemed questionable, will also not suit up, among four others.
With the division leading San Francisco 49ers on bye, the Seahawks can climb within two games of first place in the NFC West with a win, marking one of their most important games of the season coming against the red-hot Bears, who have won four of their last five games. Although Seattle is in line to get a significant boost to their backfield with running backs Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet returning, they’ll be without key playmakers on both sides of the ball, putting them in somewhat of a difficult position once again.
