Unfortunate news coming out of AEW. Tony Khan announced that Hologram is injured and likely to miss the rest of the year.
Frankly, I don’t know if this is real or storyline.
Here’s what went down on AEW Collision (Sept. 27, 2025). During the opening promos, Hologram was hacked by Clon. As Komander was hyping his match, Hologram started glitching his head. The background screen said corruption detected, overriding data, Clon activated, soon. Meanwhile, the cameras showed Kyle Fletcher assaulting Hologram.
Later in the show, commentary relayed the message that Hologram was seriously injured and would be out of action for quite a while. The luchador was pulled from his scheduled TNT Championship bout on Dynamite. Orange Cassidy was named the replacement to challenge Fletcher.
Khan addressed the injury on social media.
Khan continued with well wishes for Hologram’s recovery.
This could very well be a real leg injury suffered earlier in the week. Hologram wrestled on a gimpy leg in trios action, but he might have been selling. Despite the pain, Hologram still won the match lifting Hechicero for the Portal Bomb.
This could very well be storyline in the mystery between Hologram and Clon. If Hologram is indeed cloned, then the Hologram character might be sidelined and the Clon character takes over for the time being.
Or maybe it is a mix of both real and storyline.
Whatever the case, best of health to Hologram.
