Indiana football is spending the majority of its week preparing for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Miami next Monday. When they aren’t doing that, the Hoosiers are building up for the 2026 season.
And they’re doing it exceptionally well, if you believe in talent ratings.
As of Thursday evening, Indiana’s transfer portal moves rank No. 1 nationally, above Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M, among others, in On3/Rivals’ rankings. The Hoosiers, in the middle of a playoff
run, have seen just five portal entries while adding 15 players.
That might, and probably will, change with time as more members of the roster enter the portal and other teams keep putting classes together, but it’s a strong performance for a program that’s had more on its plate than all but one other these past few weeks.
Former TCU quarterback Josh Hoover, former Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh and former Wisconsin offensive lineman Joe Brunner lead the talent rankings for Indiana’s class as of this writing.
