The Washington Commanders have reportedly added another veteran cornerback to the roster. Rasul Douglas signed last week, and Washington’s former 3rd-round pick, Fabian Moreau, was the latest addition to the secondary. The Commanders are missing another Day 2 pick at training camp with Trey Amos still recovering from a broken fibula from his rookie season. Amos was reportedly dealing with some soft tissue issues that landed him on the active/PUP list.
Fabian Moreau was taken in the third round of
the 2017 NFL draft and he spent his first four seasons with Washington, starting 18 games. Moreau signed with the Falcons after his rookie contract ended, and has been with four teams over the last five seasons since leaving Washington. He spent the last two seasons with the Vikings, but didn’t start game for them, and only played 28.2% of the snaps on defense last season.
