Entering Week 3, Iowa State once again has 14 players in the NFL who are on official depth charts. In these weekly articles, you will be able to see how each player did over their past game in the NFL.
Allen Lazard (Jets):
Lazard had a much better game this week than in Week 2, when he committed zero catches. Against the Bucs, Lazard was targeted three times, caught two passes for 13 yards, and scored a touchdown late in the game to keep the Jets in it. He played a total 17 snaps on offense as well.

Will McDonald (Jets):
My goodness, what a play by Will McDonald! Easily the best play of the season so far, and will be up there for most of the year. On defense, McDonald played 47 snaps but was unable to record any stats on that end.
Breece Hall (Jets):
In Week 3, it wasn’t one of Breece Hall’s best games. He rushed for 21 yards on just nine carries. However, in the passing game, he was targeted six times, the second most on the team. He caught four of those passes for 31 yards.
Kene Nwangwu (Jets):
Nwangwu did not play Week 3 due to a hamstring injury.
Charlie Kolar (Ravens):
Charlie Kolar had his best game of the season on Monday Night Football. Lamar found Kolar multiple times, and he continued to get himself open. Kolar was targeted three times and had two catches for 22 yards.
TJ Tampa (Ravens):
Tampa was flying around everywhere on both defense and special teams. On defense, he committed three tackles, including a tackle for loss, while on special teams, he made a great tackle on a punt return, putting the Lions inside the 10-yard-line.
Jake Hummel (Ravens):
Hummel only played snaps on special teams on Monday Night Football, finishing with one assisted tackle. Though late in the second quarter, Hummel broke through the punt blocking formation from the Lions and had a clear block opportunity before getting held by a lineman. That flag and return of that punt did allow the Ravens to score before half, which they did.
Xavier Hutchinson (Texans):
As the Texans fell to 0-3 this season, Xavier Hutchinson was targeted three times from QB CJ Stroud. He caught all three passes for a total of 16 yards.
Jaylin Noel (Texans):
The Texans might have their special teams returner of the future. Noel returned two kickoffs for 30 yards and 23 yards for a total of 53 yards, while on punts returned one for 11 yards. On offense, Noel was targeted one, caught one ball, for four yards.
Jayden Higgins (Texans):
It was a quiet day for Higgins this past Sunday. He was only targeted once, caught that pass, and got just five yards from it.
Jalen Travis (Colts):
Snap counts haven’t been released yet, but Jalen Travis was seen playing on special teams just like the past two weeks.
David Montgomery (Lions):
Did David just play his best game of his career? The backfield of Gibbs and Montgomery went on a tear last night. Montgomery rushed for 151 yards on just 12(!!) carries. His longest run went for 71 yards! He totalled two touchdowns, including the dagger late in the game. In passing him, he was targeted once, which he caught for 13 yards.
Brock Purdy (49ers):
Due to his current turf toe injury, Purdy was not able to play in Week 3. Despite no Purdy, the 49ers were able to hold on once again and beat the Cardinals 16-15. Shoutout Mac Jones/
Malik Verdon (Falcons):
Malik Verdon has yet to play a snap in the regular season for the Falcons. In the preseason, Verdon missed all of training camp due to an undisclosed issue. The Falcons added Verdon to the reserve/non-football injury and he will miss the first four games of the season. Maybe the Falcons could have used him this week, as the Panthers dropped 30 on their heads.
Darien Porter (Raiders):
In the Raiders Week 3 loss to the Commanders, Darien Porter was active on the field. He played 16 snaps on defense and made four tackles. On special teams, he played 22 snaps.
Eyioma Uwazurike (Broncos):
The Broncos fell is a tough loss, 20-23 vs the Chargers. In the loss, Uwazurike was making plays on the defensive line. He assisted on two tackles and had two solo tackles of his own.
Practice Squad Players:
Ben Nikkel (Colts Practice Squad)
Myles Purchase (Chargers Practice Squad)
JR Singleton (Seahawks Practice Squad)
Julian Good-Jones (Commanders) (Currently listed on the IR, and once activated from the IR, the Commanders can choose to add him to the roster and keep him on the Practice Squad)
