Real Madrid TV is once again in the headlines courtesy of another referee rant in the wake of Sunday’s derby defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Los Blancos were beaten 2-1 and finished the game with 10 men after Dean Huijsen was sent off. Rather predictably, the result did not go down well on the club’s TV channel.
“I’m sure many Real Madrid fans are eager to get up and leave this competition. It makes you want to get up and leave this competition,” was the verdict, per Marca.
“Now things have gotten even more
complicated and the screws have been tightened. Before, they tried to cover it up, but not now. Ortiz Arias was cozying up to the Barça players a few weeks ago, and now this.”
A feisty derby saw Cristian Romero avoid being sent off for a foul on Jude Bellingham, after a VAR review, and brought more criticism of La Liga by Real Madrid TV.
“It’s all disgusting, they don’t care that LaLiga under Tebas is overflowing with crap. This season has been the last straw. All that’s missing is a directive allowing Real Madrid’s opponents to come out with guns,” the TV channel continued.
“There’s a double standard applied to Real Madrid. They’re not allowed to compete. But these are the decisions of LaLiga, of the Federation. Given how the refereeing has been, I doubt they would have sent off an Atlético player in the other penalty area, as they did with Huijsen. There’s no point in debating football.”
The result leaves Madrid six points behind leaders Barcelona heading into the international break.
