First Quarter
Wisconsin’s defense has seemed to confuse Nebraska the first couple of possessions, moving the ball, but going nowhere. There’s a backdoor cut pass to Logan Nissley that leads her close to the baseline,
but Eliza Maupin sneaks backside and Nissley finds her for the first basket of the night. Maupin has had the highlights of the night so far with a block on the defensive end and then gets fouled on the other, she has Nebraska’s first four points. The Badgers defense brings the double on Britt Prince, who breaks through it and hits the midrange jumper. Nebraska has the two point lead, but the Huskers aren’t cleaning up the glass too well on the defensive side leading to a lot of Wisconsin second chance points.
Amiah Hargrove snags her first points of the night with a nice jumper. The saddest transition defense I’ve ever seen leads to a Wisconsin basket. The inside defensive presence has been non-existent all year and it’s something that has really annoyed me and, in my opinion, the biggest reason Nebraska has been dropping games this year. That and the fact that we have started to turn the ball over in the worst ways, like right now, where we throw the ball inside but it rolls off the leg of Hargrove. Media timeout is taken with 3:00 left and a two point Wisconsin lead.
Amiah Hargrove ties the game at 12 a piece and Nebraska gets a stop on the other end, which will lead Maupin to the charity stripe where she splits the pair. Some stifling defense from the Huskers sends Callin Hake sprinting down the court with the steal and the basket. Nebraska takes the three point lead, but Wisconsin hits a three to tie the game. Nebraska has a chance to end the quarter with points, Maupin misses a three, Hargrove corrals the O board, but can’t get the mid range jumper to fall. The Huskers head to the second quarter down two.

Second Quarter
After a couple horrible offensive and defensive possessions, Eliza Maupin finds Jessica Petrie inside as the shot clock expires. I’m not going to lie, the defense I’m watching actually makes me sick, Wisconsin is getting anything they want inside. Badgers lead is 23-17 and Nebraska has gone 0-10 from deep so far. Nebraska calls timeout with 5:50 left in the half and I need to go take some Advil for this headache that’s brewing (17-26 Wiscy).
Amiah Hargrove makes something out of literally nothing and hits a three. Britt Prince will snipe a three from the top of the key to cut the deficit to just four points. Nebraska is gifting Wisconsin all sorts of second chance points tonight. Hargrove has a chance at three the hard way, but misses the free throw, still a four point game. If I say what I really would like to say right now, I might never be able to write an article again. So I’ll just say this, Amiah Hargrove just got hacked by three different players and still didn’t get fouled, this in turn, led to Wisconsin scoring another bucket. Wisconsin is out rebounding Nebraska 24-10, that is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t have anything nice to say and my mother always told me, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” End of the half, Nebraska is down 13.

Halftime Stats
Bad, bad, and bad.
Nebraska is shooting 37 percent from the field and a very disappointing 9 percent from three. Out rebounded 26-10.
Amiah Hargrove: 10 points, 2 rebounds
Britt Prince: 5 points, 3 assists
Eliza Maupin: 5 points, 4 rebounds
Third Quarter
Eliza Maupin heads to the line to start the second half and splits the pair. Nebraska gets the steal, but can’t move the ball and it turns into a jump ball, possession Wisconsin. Callin Hake gets the steal and tries to euro step through defenders, but just cannot finish at the rim. A fast break three from Hake assisted by Prince dwindles the deficit to single digits and Wisconsin needs a timeout (29-38 Wiscy).
Jessica Petrie had her defender all alone on and island and Maupin found her for two points. Logan Nissley has notched herself in the scoring column with a three and the Wisconsin lead is just six. Nebraska gets maybe a lucky call with a foul call on the Badgers, but we’ll take what we can get. Petrie gets the tough shot to go with a defender draped all over her. Britt Prince is just so good, she gets a steal and then maneuvers her way through a pack of Badgers and gets the left handed layup to fall, now making the lead just four. Media timeout with 4:05 left in the third.
We have a one point game in Madison as Callin Hake drills a three after a huge defensive stop. Threes are falling here in the second half finally for Nebraska as Maupin hits one from the corner, they have their first lead of the game. Amiah Hargrove gets sent to the line after getting hacked, she splits the pair, Prince gets the rebound, Hake misses the three, Hargrove follows with the putback (47-45 Neb).

Fourth Quarter
Amiah Hargrove muscles her way for two point retaking the one point lead. Wisconsin steps out of bounds, giving the ball back to Nebraska. Britt Prince sinks the mid range shot and puts the Huskers up three. Say what you want about Kennadi Williams, but she works harder than just about anybody and it shows. Logan Nissley connects on the inbound corner three, that I saw coming miles away, giving Nebraska the 54-48 lead. Empty possessions here by Nebraska, but Maupin gets the offensive rebound and is fouled on the way up, she hits both (56-51 Neb). Nebraska gets another steal making that Wisconsin’s 2oth turnover of the game. Media timeout with 4:50 left in the game.
Eliza Maupin has been all over the glass this second half and her hard work pays off with a hard fought two. I hate close games, like hate them, Nebraska is up one with 2:25 left. The Huskers call timeout after a steal, just to calm down and draw something up. Britt Prince sees a lane open up and takes it herself, Nebraska is up three, but Wisconsin drills a three to tie it. A bad offensive possession gives Wisconsin a chance to take the lead, Badgers get their own rebound off a miss and call a timeout with just over a minute left. Wisconsin is at the line and takes a one point lead, Maupin grabs the rebound but can’t escape the back court and ends up traveling. Nebraska is down three with under a minute left. Nebraska gets a stop and calls a timeout with 12.6 left, down three. Wisconsin absolutely disrupted that last effort from Nebraska and they lose by three.
