Happy Sunday, Spurs fans! And a VERY happy Sunday to any Spurs fans who are also American fans of Indiana University athletics. (There are dozens of us! Dozens!) I stayed up way too late last night to watch
my beloved Indiana Football Hoosiers, the second losingest program in Division I football, undefeated and ranked #2 in the nation, defeat the mighty Ohio State University, undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation, in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game by a score of 13-10. It’s hard to overstate just how hapless Indiana football has been historically — this was the first outright Big Ten championship Indiana has won in football since 1947 and represents the incredible turnaround for this program under 2nd year head coach Curt Cignetti.
Anyway, IU won a trophy last night. It was great, and this is a soccer blog so here’s your open thread. Hoo-hoo-hoo… Hoosiers!
