The United States Women’s National Team have their first roster of the year. Today, U.S. Soccer announced the 26-player roster who will head to California next week for the team’s annual January Camp. They will play two matches during this camp against Paraguay on January 24th and Chile on January 27th.
The roster features the return of Trinity Rodman, who only featured in one match in 2025 before a back injury ruled her out for a large portion of the summer. She is currently a free agent and has
not yet announced where she will be playing club soccer in 2026, but is now healthy enough to be in camp.
The January Camp occurs outside of a FIFA international window, so clubs were not required to release their players. As a result, no player based in Europe were called into this camp. Emma Hayes combined experience along with giving some younger players an opportunity to train and play with the team in a year that will see the USWNT compete in the Concacaf W Championship in November, which serves as Women’s World Cup qualifying.
“Once again, our roster presents opportunity, for the coaching staff to evaluate players and for some NWSL players we haven’t seen as much in the National Team environment, as well as for some first-time call-ups, to show they can contribute in 2026, 2027 or beyond,” USWNT head coach Emma Hayes said in a press release. “We’re looking forward to having a few more training days than usual in this camp as well as getting two matches to see this part of the player pool in game action and hopefully add even more depth and options for our 2026 SheBelieves Cup roster.”
