After a tremendous six-year career with the TCU Horned Frogs, free safety and three-time All-Big 12 honoree Bud Clark announced Monday that he will enter the 2026 NFL Draft. The redshirt senior from Alexandria, Louisiana concludes his collegiate career with 214 total tackles, 138 solo stops, 35 pass breakups and 15 interceptions. An All-Big 12 Second Team recipient in both 2024 and 2025, Clark posted 56 total tackles and a career-best 11 pass breakups with four interceptions this season, leading
TCU to a second straight 9-4 season.
A mainstay in the TCU secondary over the last four years, Clark played in 61 games over his six-year run with the Horned Frogs. His breakout campaign came in 2022, when he compiled 45 total tackles, 10 pass breakups and a career-high five interceptions including a pick-six during TCU’s 51-45 Fiesta Bowl victory against Michigan. An All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2022, Clark nabbed three interceptions in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons and was named to the All-Big 12 Second. Team in 2024. His highlights from 2025 including intercepting Gio Lopez and returning the ball for a touchdown during TCU’s lopsided win over Bill Belichick and UNC in Week 1.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder signed with the Horned Frogs as a four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. Clark signed with TCU over Ole Miss, LSU, Colorado, Arizona State and more. Should Clark be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, he’d be the first Horned Frog defensive back to be taken since Josh Newton (2024) and the first safety to be taken since Tre’von Moehrig (2021).
