Bayern Munich did something that not many people really had a lot of faith it could do — walk into the Bernabéu and take down Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Behind goals from Luis Díaz and Harry Kane — and a standout performance from veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, the Bavarians held off Los Blancos for a nervy 2-1 victory. It was not easy, but it did set the tone for Bayern Munich to be in a terrific position as it heads home and prepares for a Bundesliga match vs. St. Pauli this weekend and next
week’s return leg at the Allianz Arena.
