Indiana got some less-than-ideal news on Monday afternoon.
Lee Beebe Jr, who carved out a role in the backfield after transferring in from UAB this past offseason, is out for the remainder of the season after suffering an injury against Indiana State this past Saturday. It’s a blow
to Indiana’s backfield with one of the Hoosiers’ more important games of the season. How can they respond?
Roman Hemby has been the leader out of the backfield up to this point but Indiana has gotten some good production out of Kaelon Black as well. Redshirt freshman Khobie Martin saw significant action in the second half last Saturday after seeing just 14 carries all of last season. Martin’s inexperience in this group sticks out, but he matches the type of runner Indiana has gravitated toward.
