Como have decided to buy Nico Paz away from Real Madrid for €60 million, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. Los Blancos had previously triggered their option to buy Paz back, but with the possibility of selling the midfielder to Como for the €60 million fee.
Real Madrid will keep another option to bring Paz back for a significant fee close to €80 million, according to both Fabrizio Romano and AS.
Paz wanted to stay in Como for another season knowing that it’d be hard for him to get relevant playing time in the Spanish capital with players like Arda Güler and Jude Bellingham ahead of him in the rotation.
Real Madrid have decided to kick the can down the road while getting a significant transfer fee in the process. However, if they ever want Paz to be a madridista, they will have to spend that money and then some.
