Lewis Crocker will defend his IBF welterweight title against Liam Paro on June 24 in Tennyson, Australia, a suburb of Brisbane.
No Limit Boxing will promote the bout at Pat Rafter Arena, which is center court at the Queensland Tennis Centre, which can hold about 7,000 at maximum seating capacity.
Crocker (22-0, 11 KO) won the vacant IBF belt last September in Belfast, beating Paddy Donovan by split decision in a rematch of a very controversial disqualification from March 2025. The 29-year-old will
go on the road to make his first defense.
Paro (27-1, 16 KO) is best known for his upset win over Subriel Matias in 2024, which netted Paro the IBF super lightweight title. He lost the belt six months later in his first defense against Richardson Hitchins, both fights taking place in Puerto Rico.
Since moving up in weight, Paro is 2-0, and his win last September over David Papot came at the same venue where he will face Crocker.
On paper, seems like a good and competitive matchup, and will be a real Wednesday morning treat for those in the United States who want to watch it live.
