Kylian Mbappé has broken his silence following Real Madrid’s Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.
The French forward took to Instagram to reflect on the quarterfinal defeat, acknowledging both the effort and the outcome. “We tried until the very end, but it wasn’t enough,” Mbappé wrote. “It’s disappointing to be knocked out of such an important competition, but we have to look ahead.”
Madrid’s elimination marked a bitter end to a tie that had remained within reach until key moments
swung against them. Mbappé himself found the net in Munich, scoring Madrid’s third goal on the night, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to carry the team through.
Despite the setback, Mbappé’s message quickly shifted toward accountability and the need for internal reflection. “We need to take a close look at ourselves to avoid this kind of disappointment again,” he said.
“We will never give up,” he added. “In Madrid, failure has never been and never will be an option.”
Mbappé reinforced that mindset with a direct promise to supporters: “I promise you one thing: we will start winning again, and very soon.”
