Chivas continued their impressive campaign in 2026 with a tie against Pumas after going down to a 2-0 score in the first half. Pumas gave a great performance but might have been too defensive and ended up costing them two points. The match was a controversial affair as the final goal shouldn’t have been a PK although Pumas had benefited from a mistake in the first half when they should have gone down to 10 players. Pumas still were able to hold on against the first placed team and while they lose another chance to get a victory in Guadalajara, they were still able to get a solid result. Chivas will have a tough match when they face Tigres in Monterrey, as the northern team is in a huge need to add points. Meanwhile Pumas will be heavy favorites when they return home to face off against Mazatlan.
