Yesterday (July 24), several pro wrestlers reminded us that their time at WWE ended no long after WrestleMania 42. They did so because most WWE contracts have a clause prohibiting them from working for another pro wrestling promotion for 90-days after it ends or is ended early.
Nicola Glencross didn’t send out a reminder. That’s probably because the wrestler known as Nikki Cross until April was planning to team with her husband in a surprise return to the independents in Ireland. Big Damo, fka WWE’s
Killian Dain, brought her out as his mixed tag partner against Frankie Vendetta and Kat Von Kay. Using her old Nikki Storm gimmick, complete with The Backstreet Boys and hip thrusts…
Progress Wrestling’s new owners picked up the win.
The former WWE Women’s and Women’s Tag champ posted about her return, and the chance to reunite in a ring with her husband, on social media as well:
Hey there @damomackle
Thank you for the invite tonight, glad I could lend you a hand 😌❤️
After having conflicting schedules for the better part of ten years, it felt damn nice to be in a ring again with my love ❤️
The Best in the Galaxy at @over_the_top_wrestling tonight!
See you all in August ⚡️🌌
Living the dream, those two.
