Late news
Paolo Vanoli’s roster is ravaged: Moise Kean, Manor Solomon, Fabiano Parisi, Marco Brescianini, and Niccolò Fortini are injured, while Nicolò Fagioli and Albert Guðmundsson are suspended. Even with so few options, the mister’s still managed to make a head-scratching decision, picking Daniele Rugani to partner Luca Ranieri at the back and leaving Marin Pongračić and Pietro Comuzzo (neither of whom are dealing with any issue that’s been reported) on the bench.
By comparison, Maurizio Sarri has a bounty
of options despite missing 3 defenders he’d usually start and being forced to use another at the base of midfield. From a Fiorentina perspective, the real interest will be how he handles himself inside the Stadio Artemio Franchi; as we approach another summer of turmoil and another search for a head coach, the cigarette-chomping Tuscan’s name will be the first one on everyone’s lips.
Lineups
Fiorentina (4-3-3): de Gea; Gosens, Ranieri, Rugani, Dodô; Fabbian, Ndour, Mandragora; Fazzini, Piccoli, Harrison
Lazio (4-3-3): Motta; Tavares, Romagnoli, Provstgaard, Lazzari; Bašiç, Patric, Taylor; Zaccagni, Dia, Cancellieri
