Carlos Prates isn’t scheduled to compete tomorrow night (Sat., Sept. 6, 2025) at UFC Paris LIVE on ESPN+ from inside Accor Arena in Paris, France, but that didn’t stop the welterweight contender from nearly getting into a brawl at Friday’s ceremonial weigh ins (watch HERE).
As you may have guessed, Prates made the trip over the Atlantic to help corner his friend and Fighting Nerds teammate, Caio Borralho, who fights against middleweight contender, Nassourdine Imavov, in UFC Paris’ main event. The
Fighting Nerds tend to travel in a pack and support whoever is fighting, so fans weren’t too surprised to see Prates at Friday’s pre-fight event.
However, the French fans in attendance were probably shocked to see Prates nearly come to blows with Imavov’s agent. It’s unknown at this time exactly what transpired, but it probably had something to do with Imavov fighting Prates’ teammate tomorrow night. Whatever happened, Prates had to be held back before he made a huge mistake and actually came to blows with the agent.
Check it out below:
On Saturday, Prates will be rooting for Borralho to capitalize on his second-straight UFC main event to push his undefeated UFC record to 8-0. If Borralho can get past Imavov then it may be good enough for a title shot against newly-minted UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev.
